Librarian – Collection Services

Permanent Full Time

Remuneration $75,756 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4)

About the Position

 

Provide high quality customer and library collection services in a professional, efficient and confidential manner ensuring the development of good working relationships with staff and public.

 

About You

 

Do you have a passion for literature and libraries and experience in a public library environment? Council is recruiting for a Librarian – Collection Services to join their team. You will have experience providing effective reference and reader advisory services to a diverse range of customers, utilising print and digital formats. It is also important that you have a keen interest in emerging technologies and education programs.

Your strong knowledge of library management software (SirsiDynix -Symphony) and associated applications related to the library website and digital resources combined with your excellent communication skills will allow you to deliver technical support and training to Library staff and clients by troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

You will hold a degree or post-graduate qualification in Library and Information Science (or similar) and you will enjoy providing customer service and building positive relationships with members of the community.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
