Coordinator Library and Child Services
Contract Full Time (4 years)
Attractive salary package circa $140,000 per annum (including vehicle and superannuation)

About the Position
Manage the Unit which includes Council’s Libraries and Child Care. Determine and clearly articulate the direction for the Unit and overseeing its performance to ensure safe and productive operations in delivering a relevant and inclusive service.
About You
An emerging leader, you have a thorough understanding of all aspects of Child Services and Library management including service standards and funding agreements associated with each area. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills which enable you to provide specialist advice to management and lead the various functions of the Library and Child Services units. Service delivery is your priority, as is effectively managing the performance of your team through leading by example and overseeing budget expenditure for the units.

Position Requirements to address in your cover letter are:
- Degree qualification in Library and Information Management (or related discipline) and/or equivalent demonstrated experience working in a library and child care environment.
- Develop and monitor operational and capital budgets, strategic and operational plans ensuring industry best practice.
- Experience in leading, mentoring and motivating staff to achieve outcomes in line with operational requirements.
- Develop and implement communication and audience development strategies to promote programs and activities within the areas of responsibility.
