Are you passionate about live events and eager to kickstart a career in technical production?

This is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services, all while being mentored by experienced professionals at Rockhampton Regional Council.

As a Trainee in Live Production and Technical Services, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality technical services across our venues. From setting up audio, lighting, and staging equipment to assisting with maintenance and event operations, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that brings performances and events to life.

This 12-month, Fixed Term Full Time traineeship is perfect for someone who’s enthusiastic, reliable, and ready to learn. You’ll gain valuable industry skills, contribute to exciting community events, and build a strong foundation for a future in live production.

To be eligible for this role, applicants must be

  • Aged 15 years or older and no longer at school.
  • Able to meet citizen, residency, and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship.
  • In possession of a C Class Driver Licence (Minimum Provisional).
  • Able to complete a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Rockhampton Regional Council Traineeship & Apprenticeship opportunities are made available with the assistance of government funding. This position is subject to further eligibility requirements. Applicants must meet one of the following identified groups (you can meet more than one requirement):
