Apprentice Mechanic

  • Fixed Term Full Time 
  • Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight

Are you mechanically minded and want to start a career in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics? Join our team at Rockhampton Regional Council by applying for an Apprentice Mechanic position.

Our skilled trade professionals will assist you to apply your practical skills and gain knowledge of how to diagnose problems, repair, and service a range of light and heavy vehicles and equipment. You will gain valuable hands-on experience with repairing and servicing engines, transmissions, cooling, steering and suspension systems, hydraulics, and fuel injections systems. With the help of our qualified team, gain your Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle which has 4-year nominal study term.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
