Water Quality Officer

- Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
- $101,528 - $105,760 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation

Your new role
Do you have experience in the water quality industry and have a keen interest in water quality monitoring? Fitzroy River Water is looking for a Water Quality Officer to join the team.
You will play an integral role in the section and be responsible for monitoring and reporting on water quality associated with water and wastewater treatment processes and associated infrastructure across the region.
You will provide technical advice and assistance for chemical or biological aspects of water treatment processes and will be expected to possess a high level of knowledge of key water quality guidelines and regulations. Your excellent communication skills will be beneficial when dealing with customer enquiries and providing advice related to water quality issues and complaints.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria
- Previous laboratory or field-based water quality monitoring experience and qualifications in Chemistry, Microbiology or Biology.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of water and wastewater treatment processes and drinking water supply systems and the related guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing detailed and accurate reports within required timeframes.
