- Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $72,271 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 4 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation

Your new role
Join Rockhampton Regional Council’s Parks Operations team as a Sports and Irrigation Gardener and play a vital role in shaping the green heart of our community. In this hands on position, you’ll be responsible for the horticultural care, turf maintenance, and irrigation of parks, open spaces, sports fields, and recreational facilities across the region.
You’ll work closely with the Team Leader to ensure our public spaces are safe, vibrant, and beautifully maintained for residents and visitors alike. From mowing and planting to installing irrigation systems and preparing sites for community events, your work will directly enhance the quality of life in Rockhampton.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria
- Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Sports turf management and/or substantial work experience relevant to the position and a commitment to high service standards.
- Knowledge of irrigation and turf maintenance.
- A strong team player that demonstrates positive attitude and promotes a safety first attitude.
