Welder / Fabricator

- Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $40.48 - $44.06 p/hr (LGIA Stream C Level C10 – C7 + Site + Tool Allowance) + Superannuation (depending on qualifications and experience)

We’re hiring a Welder / Fabricator with general plant maintenance experience to keep our Council assets in top condition. This role covers a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on both fixed and mobile plant including building assets, earthmoving machinery, pumps, combustion engines, and landscaping gear. You won’t be required to just weld, component removal and reinstall is also included.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

- Trade qualified Welder / fabricator with wide experience in repairing and maintaining both fixed and mobile plant equipment
- Someone who can do a wide variety of mechanical tasks
- Possess a safe work attitude.

Application Criteria
- Trade qualification as Boilermaker / Fabricator or equivalent (and any other relevant tickets/certificates).
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of fixed & mobile mechanical plant & equipment including servicing, welding, fabrication, and infield repairs.
- Possess a safe work attitude.
