Marketing Support Officer

  • Permanent / Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $86,153-$91,629 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 3) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Are you passionate about destination marketing, communications, and regional development? Advance Rockhampton is seeking a dynamic Marketing Support Officer to help drive our tourism, events, and regional growth initiatives.

As a key member of our team, you’ll support the development and delivery of integrated marketing and communication strategies across various projects. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote Rockhampton as a vibrant destination, ensuring brand consistency and engaging content across platforms.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and communications.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience with social media and digital platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing.
  • Experience in website management, HTML, and analytics.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Application Criteria

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or tourism, with strong skills in branding and integrated marketing, backed by relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating engaging digital content across social media, websites, and online platforms, supported by strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, and website analytics.
  • High level of communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build valued relationships with key stakeholders.
