Are you someone who thrives in an active, hands-on role?

Fitzroy River Water is looking for a positive, reliable and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Water Meter Reader. While the role is largely independent and based outdoors, you'll be part of a supportive, friendly and high-performing team. 

In this position, you’ll be responsible for completing accurate, timely and systematic water meter reads in accordance with the scheduled program. You will also update, verify and record collected data to ensure water consumption charges are calculated correctly and efficiently.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

  • Accurate administrative capabilities and confidence with using computer systems, programs and smart devices
  • Professional and customer focussed approach
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
  • Ability to carry out your duties in a safe manner whilst ensuring the safety of your team members and public
  • Good communication (written and verbal) with quick problem-solving skills
  • Experience and knowledge of the water industry is highly regarded
