Childcare Educator

 

  • Fixed Term / Full Time or Part Time (12 months)
  • Monday to Friday, 25-38 hours per week (School Hours available)
  • Pro Rata amount of $65,341 $68,130 per annum ($33.06 $34.47 / hour) (Level CSW 1 Yr Qualified Year 13) (Junior rates may apply) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

 

Rockhampton City Child Care Centre are seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our team in delivering high quality, flexible, and responsive care for children in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

 

In these roles, you will support the Group Leader in planning, implementing, and evaluating engaging, play based programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards. You’ll focus on meeting each child’s developmental and routine needs while fostering a safe, stimulating, and caring environment.

 

As part of a collaborative and qualified team, you’ll contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practice, and strong partnerships with families. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the early learning experiences of children and support their growth into confident, curious, and capable young learners.

 

This position offers a choice between full time or flexible school hours.

 

Future Opportunities: With ongoing operational requirements at the Centre, further opportunities are expected to arise, which may support continued employment beyond the initial contract period for the Fixed Term role. Diploma qualified educators may also have the opportunity to act in Lead Educator roles, supporting career development and leadership experience.

 

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria

 

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (Including - CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk), Blue Card, Current First Aid & CPR certificate and proven experience working in a child care setting or similar.
  • Genuine passion for working with children and experience providing positive care and educational opportunities to children.
