  • $101,248 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation

Join Fitzroy River Water as a Technical Officer, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of water and sewerage infrastructure. In this dynamic position, you’ll oversee the planning and delivery of maintenance programs, manage projects from concept to completion, and drive continuous improvement to support reliable services for our community.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Substantial experience providing technical and operational support for water and sewerage infrastructure, including asset management and maintenance planning.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical specifications, manage tenders, and supervise contractors to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines applicable to the water industry, along with strong risk management and safety awareness.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and deliver quality customer service.
  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, engineering) combined with practical experience in water and sewerage operations.

  • Tertiary or trade qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, engineering) combined with practical experience in water and sewerage operations.
