Traffic Controller

  • Fixed Term / Full Time (Until December 2026)
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $70,087 pro rata per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 2 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

 

We are seeking motivated and experienced Traffic Controllers to join our civil operations team and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our worksites. As a Traffic Controller, you will be out on-site managing the flow of vehicles and pedestrians, setting up and inspecting traffic signs, barriers, and devices to confirm they are in proper working order, and making sure all safety measures are in place.

 

You will conduct pre-site inspections to verify that signage is correctly positioned, follow traffic management plans and relevant legislation, and maintain accurate records of daily activities. Your role will be critical in protecting both the public and your fellow crew members, while also assisting with a variety of construction and maintenance tasks when required.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

 

What we are looking for

  • Be a Queensland Accredited Traffic Controller and hold a valid Traffic Controller Industry Authority Card.
  • Proven experience in traffic control
  • Traffic Management Implementation and/or ability to obtain.
  • First Aid Certificate and/or willingness to obtain. 
  • Hold a Construction Industry Induction (White Card)
