Labourer 

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $71,175 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 3 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

This position takes you across the region on a variety of projects, tackling diverse labouring tasks that support the construction and maintenance of essential water and sewerage services for Fitzroy River Water. From concreting to mowing, machinery operation and using a range of tools, you’ll be right in the action - helping deliver the infrastructure that keeps communities running.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Experience in the completion of general and site maintenance activities related to water and sewerage infrastructure and understands the importance of these assets.
  • A White Card and C Class driver’s licence, with additional licences or tickets highly regarded.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and hazard awareness.
  • Reliable team player with clear communication skills and a positive work ethic.

Application Criteria

  • Experience working as labourer in a general construction / maintenance environment (highly desirable experience water / sewerage services)
  • Positive attitude, customer focussed and willingness to work within diverse teams.     
  • Safety focussed and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite.
