Senior Workplace Investigations Officer
- Permanent Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $101,528-$105,760 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation
- Location – Rockhampton
Your new role
As the Senior Workplace Investigations Officer, you will lead and conduct complex and sensitive investigations across Council, ensuring adherence to legislative, administrative law and organisational requirements.
You will act as a trusted specialist, providing expert advice on complaint management, statutory compliance, corrupt conduct matters, and Public Interest Disclosure investigations. Your work directly supports governance, accountability and organisational improvement across Council.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria
- Certificate IV (Government, Investigations, Business or Law), or equivalent demonstrated experience in HR, compliance or investigative roles.
- Knowledge of industrial relations, employment law, HR best practice, legal and administrative law principles relevant to investigation work.
- Demonstrated ability to apply confidentiality, diplomacy and sound judgement in managing complex, sensitive and high risk investigations.
- Evidence of strong planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently at a senior level.
