Animal Management Assistant

  • Permanent / Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $71,709 per annum + (LGIA Stream B Level 3) + Site Allowance + Superannuation
  • Location – Gracemere

Your new role

This role will see you provide quality care for impounded animals at the Animal Management Centre in line with legislative requirements ensuring duties are undertaken in a professional, efficient and confidential manner.

 

You will undertake cleaning of animal areas and upkeep of the Animal Management Centre by carrying out general gardening and maintenance tasks and assist in the identification of impounded animals.

 

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

  • Ability to record data with a high level of accuracy.

Application Criteria

  • Experience working with animals including relevant husbandry techniques, cleaning, food preparation and administering medication.
  • Ability to operate various mowing equipment including zero turn mower and whipper snipper.
  • Communication skills and ability to work together with others to achieve common goals.
