Team Leader – Traffic Controller

  • Fixed Term / Full Time (Until December 2026)
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $74,772 pro rata per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 2 + Site + Leading Hand 1 Allowance) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Be the leader behind safer sites!

We’re looking for a proactive Traffic Control Team Leader to join our civil team and lead from the front. You’ll support the Supervisor, coordinate traffic crews, manage site safety, and keep works running smoothly. This is a hands-on, outdoor role with varied work, a great team culture, and the chance to make a real impact on major civil projects every day.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

 

What we are looking for

  • Be a Queensland Accredited Traffic Controller and hold a valid Traffic Controller Industry Authority Card.
  • Proven experience in traffic control and leading a small team.
  • Traffic Management Implementation and/or ability to obtain.
  • First Aid Certificate and/or willingness to obtain.
  • Hold a Construction Industry Induction (White Card).

  • Proven experience in traffic Control, including the ability to effectively lead, motivate, and support a small team to deliver safe and efficient operation.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work within diverse teams and follow instructions.
  • Safety focused and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite.
