Plant Operator / Labourer x 2 

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $71,709 - $74,121 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 3 - 5 + Site (Remuneration pending tickets and experience) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

About the Role

Calling all experienced and aspiring operators!

Join Fitzroy River Water to assist with construction and maintenance activities associated with the delivery of water and sewerage services.

Whether you’ve been operating for years or are just starting out, we want to hear from you!

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What you’ll do

  • Operate trucks and plant such as excavators, backhoes and skid steers OR grow your skills and gain these plant tickets
  • Carry out civil construction tasks including pipe laying and basic concreting
  • Maintain and repair water and sewer infrastructure, including hydrants, valves and mains
  • Perform basic servicing of equipment and report defects or safety issues
  • Work safely using hand tools while supporting a multi-skilled team

What we are looking for

  • Strong labouring background
  • Ability to operate or obtain an MR Licence, excavator, backhoe and skid steer
  • Safety focussed and the ability to identify hazards and risks on the worksite
