Team Leader

  • Permanent / Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $78,281 per annum (LGIA Stream B Level 5 + Site + LH1) + Superannuation

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking an experienced Team Leader to guide a small crew delivering maintenance projects across the region. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Substantial experience in civil construction and maintenance, with the ability to coordinate crew activities and meet required standards
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, with experience supervising teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Current MR driver licence and flexibility to work outside standard operational hours as required
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and deliver quality service
  • Commitment to safety, with the ability to identify risks and support a strong safety-first culture

Application Criteria

  • Leadership skills with a commitment to motivating your team to achieve high work standards.
  • MR driver licence, high level of experience in a range of civil maintenance works, e.g. Working with asphalt, road pavement repairs, and storm water.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with members of the public, co-workers, and contractors.
