A rare opportunity has become available for a highly experienced individual to lead the Events team.

With your innate ability to conceptualise and source event content and then coordinate and motivate you will lead the Events team to deliver major events within scope and budget for Council.  

Your previous experience and existing partnerships with Event industry stakeholders and funding sources will ensure your success in achieving key strategies and deliverables.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria

  • Proven experience souring contenct, coordinating and developing major events in the public or private sector, with excellent knowledge of the festival and event industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing event delivery and funding opportunities to maximise the value of events to the local community and as an economic driver for the region.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate staff to achieve positive business outcomes with a One Team approach.
  • Working knowledge of legislation, codes and standards that relate to Events management and ensure compliance.
