Personal Assistant to Manager Growth and Community Partnerships

  • Permanent / Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $90,931-$96,709 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 3) + Superannuation
  •  Location – Rockhampton

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Personal Assistant to provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Manager Growth & Community Partnerships.

In this pivotal role, you'll be more than a traditional PA. You'll play a key part in supporting the delivery of community-focused initiatives, strategic projects and partnerships that help shape the future of our region. From managing executive workflows, coordinating reporting and governance requirements, and preparing high-level correspondence, through to supporting budgets, grants administration and stakeholder engagement activities, you'll be a trusted partner who keeps operations running smoothly.

We're looking for a professional who brings exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement, outstanding attention to detail and the ability to build strong relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria

  • Certificate III in Business Administration (or related discipline), or substantial experience in personal assistant, executive support, or senior administrative roles, demonstrating confidentiality, discretion, professionalism, and sound judgement.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate workflows, resolve enquiries, apply problem-solving skills, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and interpersonal skills, with experience acting as a key liaison, building productive relationships, managing sensitive matters, resolving issues proactively, and maintaining professionalism and diplomacy.
