Electrician (FRW)

  • Permanent /  Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
  • Potential earnings up to $120,000  per annum, including on-call participation and overtime opportunities (actual earnings will vary based on availability and hours worked).
  • LGIA Stream C C10 - C6 + Site + Tool Allowances - $84,183-$96,616 (Minimum rate depending on qualifications and experience)
  • Location - Rockhampton

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check -  Police Certificate (Australia Wide name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • A qualified, safety-focused Electrician with strong experience in electrical maintenance, installation and fault-finding across complex assets.
  • Solid skills in working with process control systems, communications network, electrical test equipment and interpreting technical plans.
  • A motivated problem-solver who can work independently, manage priorities and complete accurate documentation to high standard
  • A great team player with strong communication skills and commitment to delivering excellent customer service and upholding Council's values.
  • Someone who holds the required trade qualifications and safety certifications, and is ready to meet physical and compliance requirements, including participation in the on-call roster.

Application Criteria

  • Possession of the required electrical trade qualification and safety certifications, including a current Queensland Electrical Licence, CPR/LVR and White Card. Plus any other relevant licenses.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance, installations and fault-finding across complex infrastructure, with the ability to use electrical test equipment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and effective time management.
