Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Permanent Full Time, Monday – Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9-day fortnight
- 44.65 - $48.63 p/hr + Overtime (LGIA Stream C C10A&R – C7A&R $88,240 to $96,088 per year depending on qualifications and experience, inclusive of Site Allowance, Tool Allowance and 10% A&R incentive payment*)
- $3,000 attraction payment upon successful completion of probationary period
- $500 retention payment every 6 months from successful completion of probationary period
- Location – Rockhampton

Council is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team, servicing and maintaining a broad range of equipment, from heavy earthmoving machinery and trucks to landscaping equipment and light vehicles. This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
- Trade qualified Motor Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (and any other tickets/certificates)
- Hands-on experience with light/heavy vehicles & civil plant
- Fault finding
- Auto electrica
- Repairs & overhaul
- Testing & modification
- Tyres & servicing
- A strong safe work attitude
