- $83,228 – $89,006 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 2) + Superannuation

Your new role
Rockhampton Regional Libraries is seeking an energetic and customer-focused team member who understands the dynamics of a modern library and loves being of service.
We have a Permanent Full-Time position available.
As a Library Officer, you will have excellent people skills and be responsible for providing quality customer service to our diverse community.
As a member of the Client Services team, you will be keen to serve customers in many ways: - serving at the customer desk, performing shelving duties, delivering community programs, providing technology assistance, and supporting collection management.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

- Enthusiasm for library services including collections and resources, programming, digital technologies and a commitment to promoting reading, literacy and lifelong learning.
- Highly effective communication skills to relate to people in all age and ability groups.
- Ability to work across any of our four libraries in the Rockhampton Region.
- Ability to undertake physical work that involves regular and repetitive movements such as bending, squatting and pushing trolleys, with ability to carry and lift up to 15kg (overhead).

Application Criteria
- Customer focused and the ability to respond promptly and compassionately to a diverse range of customer and service needs with knowledge and compassion.
- Customer service work experience relevant to the position and/or work experience in the Library field. (Experience in public Library environment and qualifications relevant to the position, eg; Certificate III in Library & Information Services are desirable).
- Experience and enthusiasm for developing and delivering engaging and impactful community programs.
- Strong team player with a passion for libraries that promotes a positive work environment and the ability to display initiative.
