Personal Assistant to Manager Corporate and Technology Services

  •  Fixed Term (until 9 July 2027) / Full Time
  •  Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • Pro Rata amount of $90,931 - $96,706 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 3) + Superannuation
  •  Location – Rockhampton

Are you an organised and proactive administration professional who enjoys supporting senior leaders and helping teams operate efficiently?

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a Personal Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Manager Corporate and Technology Services and the wider section.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will coordinate calendars, meetings, correspondence, reporting activities, purchasing processes and compliance requirements, while acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. You will play an important role in maintaining efficient office systems, supporting operational workflows and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the section.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

  • Demonstrated experience providing executive or high-level administrative support to senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise professional judgement and build effective working relationships.
  • Experience using business systems and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative and executive support, including the ability to maintain confidentiality, anticipate business needs and provide professional administrative support to senior leaders. 
  • Proven ability to prepare professional correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting documentation with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and corporate systems.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and provide a high level of customer service to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
