- $90,931 - $96,709 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 3) + Superannuation

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our Information Technology Services team. Reporting to the IT Service Desk Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering first-level technical support across Council's technology environment.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you will provide IT support through the IT Service Desk, assisting users with hardware, software and network-related issues while ensuring high levels of customer service. You will also assist with deploying and maintaining technology equipment, documenting procedures, supporting minor IT projects and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
- Qualifications relevant to Information Technology and/or demonstrated experience within an IT support environment.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Azure and InTune computer hardware, peripherals and networking fundamentals.
- Experience providing technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software and network-related issues.
- Strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Well-developed organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and delivering positive customer outcomes.

Application Criteria
- Experience providing IT support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and network issues.
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Azure and InTune computer hardware, peripherals and networking fundamentals.
- Well-developed organisational, problem-solving and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and deliver minor technology projects and work packages, including solution evaluation, implementation, documentation and transition to ongoing support.
