- $107,154 - $111,619 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation

Are you an experienced applications specialist with a passion for business systems, data management and delivering technology solutions that support organisational success?
Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a Corporate Applications Officer to join our Information Systems team. Reporting to the IT Corporate Applications Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing Council's critical corporate applications and business systems.
In this role, you will provide specialist technical support, undertake database administration activities, coordinate system upgrades and improvements, and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver effective technology solutions. You will also contribute to application integration, reporting, data management and system optimisation initiatives that support informed decision-making and business efficiency.

This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identity Card (ASIC) and complete a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
What we are looking for
- Degree qualifications in Information Technology, industry qualifications relevant to the role, and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting corporate applications, business systems and database administration within a complex organisational environment.
- Strong knowledge of system security, performance monitoring, backup strategies and application support practices.
- Experience analysing business requirements, troubleshooting complex system issues and implementing practical solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate system upgrades, integrations and application improvement initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, procedures, business cases, reports and user guides.
- Well-developed problem-solving, analytical and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while delivering excellent customer service.
